Water Mains Flushing
Due to the Riverside wells being off and limited rain to recharge the other wells, Greater Augusta Utility District will be flushing hydrants on Wednesday of each week for five (5) consecutive weeks beginning September 16, 2026 and continuing through October 14, 2026 to give the wells time to recover.
Flushing will likely result in rusty or off-colored water for a short period of time. Please avoid washing your clothes while the flushing activity is underway in your area. If your water does not clear by 9:00 AM the next day, please contact us at (207) 622-3701 or email contact@gaud.ws.
